Causes of Shoulder Pain
There are many occurrences that can cause shoulder pain, which can make it difficult to diagnose. Our medical team, however, will take the time needed to figure out what is going on so we can offer an effective treatment plan. The following are some of the more common reasons people have pain in their shoulder:
Rotator Cuff Tendinitis – This is perhaps the most common cause of shoulder pain. It is an issue with the tendons in and around the rotator cuff, which is a major part of the shoulder.
Rotator Cuff Tear – When there is a tear causing the tendons of the rotator cuff to separate away from the bone. Depending on the severity of the tear, surgery may be necessary. For minor tears, however, we can sometimes treat it with physical therapy.
Frozen Shoulder – This condition, also known as adhesive capsulitis, causes stiffness in the shoulder as well as pain.
Muscle Issues – Problems with muscles throughout the shoulder can cause a lot of pain and discomfort as well as stiffness and loss of strength.
Other Causes of shoulder pain:
Your shoulder joints move every single time you move your arm. Minor shoulder issues include aches and pains and general soreness from the strains and stresses of everyday living and the overall aging process. More serious shoulder problems can occur from sports injuries, falls, home repairs and work grievances. Symptoms can range from pain and swelling to restricted range of motion and numbness. The Doctors at Launchfit™ by Clinicube®can apply the Active Release Technique (ART) to relieve the distressed tissues, as well as the areas between the tissues. This therapy can restore strength and improve overall range of motion. The Doctors will also outline a rehabilitation program, which will include stretching, exercise and foam rolling to do at home to prevent the pain and tightness from returning.
By figuring out what the issue is in your case we will be able to come up with an effective treatment option. In our office we have a Chiropractor, an acupuncturist, a physical therapist and other medical professionals who will be able to diagnose the issue and provide you with the most natural remedies possible.
