Cold laser therapy
Is a very modern technology that can help provide pain relief and other benefits to patients. It is commonly referred to as a modern form of acupuncture but that is not actually accurate. Cold lasers, which are often called Low Level Lasers or soft lasers, have been approved for use since 2011 by the FDA. Depending on what issue they are trying to resolve, these lasers can target trigger points (similar to acupuncture, but no needles) or provide broad coverage for tissue or bone stimulation.
Many people like to give this type of therapy a try because it is non-invasive and doesn’t have any type of side effects that could cause harm. In fact, it helps by working with your body to stimulate healing and comfort from a wide range of different issues. We offer cold laser therapy here in our office and regularly give treatments to people from Midtown NYC, Midtown Manhattan and the greater NYC area.
How does it Work
Cold lasers produce a specific wavelength of light impulses that are directed at the skin above the problem area. The wavelength is typically between 600 and 980nm depending on the exact results being sought. The photons of light will be absorbed into the skin and other tissues to get the desired effects. For deep penetration, a stronger laser is needed. This is typically for things like bone or joint pain therapy. For sore muscles or soft tissue injuries, however, the machine does not need to be nearly as powerful. We are able to treat many different issues with the machine here in our office.
What Can be Treated
There are many problems that can be effectively treated with cold laser therapy. The treatment works by stimulating cellular regeneration and improving circulation in the area around the problem. Some of the most common ailments we treat in our New York offices are ligament sprains, soft tissue injuries, tendinitis, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, general back pain and much more.
Based on the specifics of your condition we can evaluate whether or not cold laser therapy is the right course of action. While not for everyone, many of our patients have enjoyed a reduction or elimination of pain in the back, neck, knees, elbows and other areas of the body. We can often combine this type of therapy with chiropractic care or other treatments to help get you the best possible results.
Get in touch with Us

If so, we can set you up with an appointment to meet with our medical team for a full evaluation. From there we will work with you to determine if this type of therapy is right for you.

The DRX9000 machine is designed specifically to help reduce the pressure on your spine during treatments. This machine is used when treating a variety of issues that cause back or neck pain. By applying traction on the spine the machine allows the spinal disks to heal themselves and get into the proper position that allows them to function normally. This is one of many different treatment options we have available for our clients.
We serve people from throughout Midtown NYC, Midtown Manhattan and the surrounding NYC area. If you are interested in learning more about the DRX9000 machine and whether or not it is right for you, please be sure to get in touch with us to schedule a consultation. Our team of medical doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists and physical therapists will work with you to determine the right treatment plan based on your specific circumstances.
Using DRX9000 for Decompression
This machine is the most advanced decompression therapy option on the market today. It is an advanced table that uses negative pressure, which is focused on the area of your spine that is causing you problems. In most cases you will need to have multiple treatments to help alleviate the cause of the pain you are experiencing in your back or neck. Using incremental improvements in your spine, many patients are able to enjoy significant benefits.
The treatment with the DRX9000 is often combined with chiropractic care to help get your spine in proper alignment, which can lead to significant reduction in pain. In many cases, this type of treatment can provide long term solutions to a variety of issues.
Natural Back Pain Relief
One of the things that many people love about using the DRX9000 is that it is not invasive and it doesn’t pump you full of drugs. This is a much more natural option that doesn’t have any negative side effects in either the short term or the long term. For this reason, many patients who prefer a natural solution whenever possible are inclined to at least give it a try. While no treatment option is 100% effective, this one gives you an excellent chance of improvement without the risks of surgery or other common treatment options. For this reason, we often recommend giving it a try before moving on to more invasive or potentially dangerous treatments.

Understanding Spinal Decompression Therapy
Are you looking to learn more about spinal decompression therapy? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Our medical offices have used this type of treatment to help relieve pain from a variety of different problems with great success. While it is certainly not for everyone, non-surgical spinal decompression therapy can be very effective in many cases. It is often a good option to start with since it is non-invasive and more natural than many other solutions doctors today are offering.
If it is decided that spinal decompression therapy is a good option for you, we can have it performed right here in our offices. We have patients who come in from Midtown NYC, Midtown Manhattan and the surrounding NYC area for our convenient treatment options. Take a moment to read on to learn more about what spinal decompression therapy is and how it may be able to help you.
What is Spinal Decompression Therapy
Spinal decompression therapy, commonly referred to as non-surgical spinal decompression therapy, works by stretching the spine using gravity or motorized traction. This essentially changes the force on the spine itself, which will take pressure off of the gel-like disks of the spine. By reducing this pressure your body is able to heal itself and relieve the pain. The specific length of time and pressure relief involved will vary from patient to patient, but in many cases it can provide results quite quickly.
What Conditions can Spinal Decompression Therapy Treat
Spinal decompression therapy has been used to treat a variety of different conditions for many years. The following are some of the conditions it is most commonly used to treat:
- Sciatica – Sciatica is associated with pain, tingling and/or weakness in the back that travels down the leg.
- Bulging Disk – A bulging (or herniated) disk is when the disk is not centered properly on the spine. This decompression therapy can help allow the disk to move back where it needs to be, effectively treating the condition.
- Worn Spinal Joints – Worn joints are commonly caused by age or extreme use over time. Providing pressure relief can help reduce or even eliminate the pain associated with this condition.
- Spinal Injury – If you have experienced a spinal injury of any type, this type of therapy may be a good option. It can relieve the pressure so facilitate your body’s own natural healing process quite effectively.
There are many other issues that can be treated with nonsurgical spinal decompression therapy. Working with our medical doctors, chiropractors and the rest of the team we can help determine whether or not this is a good option based on your specific situation.
If you’d like to learn more about spinal decompression therapy or see if it is a good option for you, please don’t hesitate to contact us and speak with someone from our team. Our offices are conveniently located for anyone in Midtown NYC, Midtown Manhattan or anywhere around NYC so you can stop in for a consultation to see if it will work for you.

Sciatica can cause a significant amount of pain and discomfort that can result in limitations on what activities you are able to perform. There are many treatment options available for sciatic and finding the one that works best for you can take some effort. Here at our medical offices, our team of professionals will work with you to find the root cause of your issues and come up with solutions that will provide you with long term relief.
When you come into our offices you will meet with your doctor and the rest of the team to help come up with an effective plan of action. Throughout the process you will be involved with helping learn what is most effective based on your unique situation. This teamwork approach helps us to get to a sciatic treatment that works for you more quickly and easily than most other facilities can provide. If you live in Midtown NYC, Midtown Manhattan or anywhere in or around NYC, we encourage you to get in touch with us to learn more about sciatica treatment options.
Sciatica Physical Therapy
One of the most effective options for treating sciatic is using physical therapy. This involves specific stretches, exercises and other activities that will help address the root causes of your sciatica. In many cases this treatment can provide pain relief and overall improvement within just a few days and the longer it is performed, the better results. Even in situations where this doesn’t give a full recovery, physical therapy is almost always an important aspect of your overall treatment plan.
In addition to exercises and active physical therapy, we can also help you to find physical therapy products that can provide effective treatment. There are pillows, for example, that are made specifically to help your body rest in a way that will reduce the overall pain associated with the sciatica. Our trained and experienced medical professionals can determine which of these products will help you the most.
Pain Relief Options
When treating sciatica it is important to start by getting a handle on the pain. The pain can be debilitating, which can limit other treatment options, which is why this is the place to start. Whenever possible we prefer to offer more natural pain treatments such as acupuncture or chiropractic care. In some cases this can also be combined with prescription pain management, but only as a last resort. We’ve found that patients have better results when they start by working with the body in a more natural way.
If you are interested in learning more about our comprehensive sciatic treatment options, please feel free to contact us and set up an appointment. When you come in we will perform a full evaluation to see just which treatment options will be most effective for you. We serve people throughout Midtown Manhattan, Midtown NYC and the surrounding NYC area and look forward to helping you find an effective treatment for your sciatica as quickly as possible.

Suffering from a herniated disc can be extremely painful and debilitating. For many people it can make it impossible to work, play or do anything but sit or lay down. Even sitting and laying down can be extremely uncomfortable. Depending on the severity of the herniated disc, there are many treatment options. Unfortunately, none of them can provide immediate and complete relief. With the right care, however, you can eliminate the back pain and restore your life to the way it once was.
When seeking treatment for a herniated disc there are two ‘camps’ that are most popular for treatment. Some doctors like to jump right to a surgical solution whenever possible. Other doctors prefer offering medication to dull the pain and some physical therapy to attempt to fix the actual issue. Unfortunately, neither of these options is best. Here at our clinic we look at each patient and evaluate what the best course of action is. We use a variety of treatment options based on your specific needs to help you get the best possible results. We’ve helped hundreds of people who suffered from herniated discs in Midtown NYC, Midtown Manhattan and throughout NYC, and we’d be honored to help you as well.
Chiropractic Treatment for Herniated Disc
One of the things that we offer our patients that many other doctors don’t is our chiropractic care. A herniated disc can often be dramatically improved through the skilled manipulation of the spine that our trained Chiropractor can do. In some cases our Chiropractor can help align your spin, which will help relieve the pain and allow your body to heal itself naturally. Even when this is not possible, the chiropractic care can help make other treatment options more effective.
Acupuncture Treatment for Disc Herniation
We also have a skilled acupuncturist on staff who can help treat your herniated disc. Acupuncture can serve as a natural pain blocker while other treatments are being used. In addition, this ancient treatment can also help to relax muscles to allow your spine to recover more naturally. Whether used to treat the disc directly or as part of your overall treatment plan, acupuncture is an extremely helpful option for many of our patients.
Other Treatment Options for Disc Herniation
In addition to the Chiropractor and acupuncturist, we have a team of medical professionals who can help provide you a holistic treatment plan. This can include medications, massage, decompression therapy and much more. Unlike many doctors, we are open to a wide variety of different treatment methods based on the specifics of your case. Our goal is always to provide you with a treatment that will allow your body to recover so you can live pain free without relying on any medications.
Please be sure to give us a call at 646-770-0916 to speak with one of our customer service professionals. They can answer questions about our treatment options or set you up with an appointment with our team. We happily serve people throughout Midtown NYC, Midtown Manhattan, NYC and the surrounding area who are suffering with a herniated disc or any number of other ailments.

Back pain is one of the most debilitating issues that people face on a day to day basis. It can be caused by anything from a surgery to an injury or even just picking something up improperly. In fact, there are many cases where the cause of the pain is not actually known. No matter why your back is causing you problems, however, you want to do everything you can to eliminate the pain as quickly as possible and in a way that will provide you with long term relief.
For many people, however, the treatment that they have been receiving for their back pain is almost worse than the pain itself. This is because many doctors and therapists don’t actually attempt to get to the root of the issue. Instead they attempt to hide the pain using drugs or other treatments that can leave you with many unwanted side effects. To make it worse, if you ever discontinue their treatments the back pain will return right away. If you come to our center, however, we will work with you to address the actual cause of your pain so you can get a long term solution you can live with. We serve patients throughout Midtown Manhattan, Midtown NYC and throughout the greater NYC area.
Many Treatment Approaches
One of the reasons that we are able to treat back pain better than other facilities is because we don’t limit our self to just one or two methods. Instead, we have specialists in a variety of areas who can work together to figure out what the right approach is for your specific case. Your team will include a medical doctor, a Chiropractor, an acupuncturist and a physical therapist. Each of these individuals will work with you to find out how to solve the back pain problems you’re facing.
During your actual treatment you’ll be given the right combination of medications, massage, natural physical therapy, decompression therapy, acupuncture and more to get you the relief you need. As improvements are made, your specific treatment will be adjusted to help you move away from any pain killers and their unwanted side effects and toward a time when you won’t need any type of treatment at all. The bottom line here is that our team of medical professionals will work with you to find an actual cure for your back pain, not just a treatment. While every case is unique, we can promise that we’ll always put your long term health first so you can get the results that you’re looking for.
If you are interested in learning more about our back pain treatment options or you want to set up an appointment to meet with our team of doctors and medical professionals, please give us a call at 212-349-3444. Apostherapy bio mechanical device retrains the Way you walk. Gradually retraining muscles around the knee joint. That results in less load, wear and tear on your knee joint. Knee pain compensation, resulting from any underlying knee condition like OA or meniscus tears, will result in muscle bracing. This is the body’s attempt to stabilize and support a painful joint. Initially this compensation is beneficial. If the bracing persists past the point of compensation it can add to the problem leading to more chronic type condition.
Knee Pain NYC; Relief with Apostherapy
Apostherapy helps to retrain the way you walk. By adding ‘perturbation’ to the bottom of the foot we are able to modify the way your body contacts the ground. This also changes the way those forces interact with your muscular and skeletal system. Over time, this leads to less compensatory muscle bracing and stronger, more condition, stabilizing muscles. By improving the mechanics of gait we can improve the way forces are introduced into the body and ultimately into the knee joint itself.
Find out if apostherapy is right for you. Contact us today.

“Getting straightened out can have benefits for both your sedentary life and your gym performance ,” says Karen Erickson, D.C., a spokesperson for the American Chiropractic Association. “Besides relief of muscle soreness and pain, patients often report an overall feeling of well-being and reduced stress.
Athletes, dancers, celebrities, corporate CEO’s, white collar professionals, blue collar professionals, stay at home parents, retired folk, students…they are all using chiropractic in their health regimine today. There is a chiro resurgence to get “straightened” and be the best that we can be naturally.
The paparazzi snapped Leonardo DiCaprio leaving a chiropractic office in New Orleans. Kim Kardashian tweeted, “Chiropractors really are life savers.. I’m obsessed!” Jessica Alba is reportedly a fan.
Athletes, musicians, dancers, and actors all learn posture and positioning as a foundation for excellence. When your joints are aligned, your muscles can fire in their strongest position and your body moves with least resistance.
You can avoid neck and back pain with proper positioning. Your best ergonomic position is where you are facing your task without having to twist, bend, or rotate your joints in an uncomfortable way.
Be aware of your posture. Good posture prevents neck and back pain. An aligned spine will have less pain. Shoulder pain is also reduced when shoulders are in alignment, so you have less risk of rotator cuff issues. Proper head positioning — directly over the body and not too far forward or tilted to one side — prevents headaches.
Be aware of your positioning as you sleep. Having too much pillow height can cause you to twist. A low pillow with more cushion under the neck and less under the head will keep the neck straight and eliminate pain. Your head should be straight over the body, not pitched too far forward. Also, if you place a pillow between your legs, it will prevent your spine and pelvis from twisting.
Exercise, proper diet, and keeping your spine aligned will help you feel your best. Be aware of your posture and positioning during your daily tasks. Make an appointment to get straightened out and feel the pressure release. Chiropractic practices can transform your life, wiping away pain, and building the foundation for true health.

Athletes from many sports use chiropractic care to help improve their performance. Chiropractic procedures are safe and effective in maximally benefiting an athlete- professional or amateur. Chiropractic care makes “adjustments” to the spine which are commonly known to help with back pain, but additionally, they help your nervous system, maximize joint mechanics, and improve your overall health.
Major league baseball season is around the corner. Baseball can seem like a gentlemanly sport when compared to football and hockey, but the incidence of injury can be quite high. Many MLB teams have a team Chiropractor where regular chiropractic care provides baseball players with proper spinal function and balance to reduce the risk of spine-related injuries, enhance recovery time, and improve overall performance.
With chiropractic care, players report that they feel better and have better endurance. Their body mechanics are significantly improved, enabling better pitching, hitting, and throwing. The team Chiropractor for the San Francisco Giants was on the mound celebrating with the team during their 2010 World Series victory as it was said that chiropractic care was very much part of their success that year.
Golfers use chiropractic to maintain a strong foundation in the body. The pelvis is where most of the power is created. The lower body and pelvis create torque during the swing, while the upper body acts like a whip. Without that strong foundation on the bottom half and flexibility on the top, the golfer’s swing will suffer.
A chiropractic adjustment can re-align the lower back and improve the muscle action of the lower body. The combination of chiropractic treatment and core stability training can improve a golfer’s game considerably. Tiger Woods has said,” I’ve been going to chiropractors for as long as I can remember. It’s as important to my training as practicing my swing.”
Michael Jordan, six time NBA Champion, six time Final MVP, and five time NBA MVP, has said of chiropractic, “I didn’t know how much I could improve until I started seeing a Chiropractor. Since I’ve been in chiropractic, I’ve improved by leaps and bounds, both mentally and physically.”
Chiropractic care can give an athlete a competitive advantage in whatever sport they participate in. It helps to enhance endurance levels, assist in the recovery from many structural injuries, and achieve overall peak performance. By including chiropractic into an athlete’s regular health practices, one is able to maximize training and optimize functional balance and skill.
Many avoidable injuries sideline professional athletes. Many athletes continue to compete at less than peak efficiency, simply because their structural system is not in balance. Coaches and their athletes are realizing that pain killing drugs, muscle relaxers, and cortisone injections are not the answer to injury. Medications merely cover up the symptoms and may make the injury more serious or interfere with the healing process
The key to a successful team and an individual athlete is injury prevention. This is true for the professional or amateur. Keep your spine in line and your nervous system in balance. Dr. Noam Sadovnik and Dr. Lauren Fries of Launchfit™ by Clinicube®for Chiropractic & Decompression NYC offer exceptional chiropractic services with a goals-oriented, integrated approach. Play the game of your life by being the best that you can be!
